Mediation
Mediation is a structured, interactive process where an omnipartial third party assists disputing parties in resolving conflict through the use of specialised communication and negotiation techniques.
The Let’s Talk team will support you in resolving disputes through a facilitative and relational approach to conflict resolution. Parties are equipped to reach agreement through productive conversation for the betterment of all, providing a basis for moving forward positively. Choosing Let’s Talk is an efficient, cost-effective alternative to a formal legal process.
Restorative Practice
Restorative practice works to improve and repair relationships between people and communities, where it has been determined there has been harm caused. The purpose is to build healthy communities, increase social capital, decrease crime and antisocial behaviour, repair harm and restore relationships.
Professional Supervision
Professional supervision is a positive and enabling process that offers the opportunity to bring an employee and a skilled supervisor together to reflect on work practice. It is the process by which a worker can review and evaluate their work through discussion, report and observation. Supervision aims to identify solutions to problems, improve practice and increase understanding of professional and clinical issues.
Family Dispute Resolution
Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) is a mediation service offered by an independent professional (in this case, Let’s Talk), that helps separated or separating couples agree on the best way to care for their children.
An accredited FDR mediator will help you, your children’s other parent or guardian and anyone else involved in the dispute to take part in Family Dispute Resolution together
Facilitation
A facilitator is a person who helps a group of people to work together better, understand their common objectives, and plan how to achieve these objectives, during meetings or discussions. In doing so, the facilitator remains "neutral", meaning they do not take a particular position in the discussion.
